Thanks to Ponto, you can initiate both single and bulk payment orders directly from your software to your bank. Ponto’s payment initiation service is highly secure, delivered with your explicit consent, and in compliance with all applicable regulations (PSD2, GDPR, AMLD).

 

Here are the main steps of the process:

 

  1. Preparation: You enter the details of your payment in your software (amount, remittance information, beneficiary, etc.).

  2. Creation: Your software creates the payment in Ponto, ready for your signature.

  3. Signature: Depending on your software implementation, you trigger the signature flow directly from your software or from your Ponto dashboard. In both cases, Ponto redirects you to your bank’s domain, where you can authenticate the payment with your usual credentials.

 

At the end of the process, Ponto displays the status of your payment initiation request (read more about payment statuses in Ponto).

 

Preconditions before initiating payments with Ponto:

 

  • Your software must support payment initiation with Ponto. Please contact your software provider for more information.

  • Your bank must support payment initiation via its PSD2 channel. You can verify this information for your bank on our bank reach page.

  • The bank account from which you want to initiate payments must already be linked to Ponto (read more).

  • The payment service must be activated in Ponto for your organization (read more about payment activation in Ponto).
